The Fourth of July is one of the busiest weekends on Maui. Beaches, parks, and harbor areas fill quickly as visitors and local families gather to celebrate.
Aboard a Trilogy catamaran, the experience feels different.

Available across all Trilogy sails on July 4th, the “Red, White & Booze” cocktail is a festive holiday rework of Trilogy’s signature 808 Margarita.
Created specifically for Independence Day sailings, the cocktail will be served aboard all of our sails on the 4th of July only.

Firework Sails
For guests looking for the ultimate Independence Day experience on Maui, Trilogy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Sails offer front-row views of the evening’s celebrations directly from the water.
Instead of watching from crowded shorelines, guests can spend the evening offshore beneath the stars while enjoying sunset sailing, festive menus, handcrafted cocktails, and panoramic ocean views before the fireworks begin.
This year’s fireworks experiences include both a Sunset Fireworks Sail and a Fireworks Dinner Sail departing from Māʻalaea Harbor.
Fourth of July Fireworks Sunset Sail
With two different sunset sails, departing from both Lahaina* and Māʻalaea Harbor, this 2 hour experience is designed for guests looking for a relaxed and festive evening on the water.
4th of July Lahaina Sunset Sails will depart at 6:15pm while the 4th of July Ma’alaea Sunset Sails will depart at 7:30pm.
The Fireworks Sunset Sail offers a more relaxed and casual way to spend the holiday. Guests can settle into an evening of sunset sailing, festive cocktails, ocean breezes, and fireworks viewing from offshore.
Light holiday décor throughout the catamarans adds to the atmosphere while Trilogy’s Crew serves the evening’s special holiday menu and premium beverages.
*Important Note: There will not be actual fireworks for the tours departing out of Lahaina Harbor, there will instead be a drone light-show. This is to prevent any possible fires from starting.

Fourth of July Fireworks Dinner Sail
For guests looking for a more elevated holiday experience, Trilogy’s Fireworks Dinner Sail combines sunset sailing, chef-driven dining, and fireworks viewing into one unforgettable evening.
Departing from both Ma’alaea Harbor (7pm) and Lahaina Harbor* (6:30pm), Trilogy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Dinner Sail is designed for guests looking for a more elevated holiday experience on the water.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy sunset sailing along Maui’s coastline, holiday décor throughout the vessel, premium cocktails and tableside dinner service, all timed around offshore fireworks viewing later in the evening.
The special “Red, White & Booze” cocktail will also be available throughout the sail as part of the holiday celebration.’

Fourth of July Dinner Sail Menu
The holiday dinner menu blends Trilogy favorites with classic summer comfort food inspired by traditional Fourth of July gatherings.

Two of our standard dinner sail entrees remain: Miso Honey Baked Mahi Mahi & Market Vegetable Green Curry with Steamed Jasmine Rice (V, GF, DF)
The atmosphere is festive without feeling rushed — more sunset dinner party than crowded holiday event.
Kaʻanapali sunset sails
The Kāʻanapali sunset sails will offer the same holiday sunset menu served aboard the Fireworks Sunset Sail, including cheeseburger sliders, barbecue chicken skewers, caprese skewers, hummus with vegetables, and warm hot honey cornbread muffins.
While these sailings do not include fireworks viewing, they still offer a festive way to spend the holiday on the water with sunset views, ocean breezes, holiday-inspired food and cocktails, and Trilogy’s signature hospitality throughout the evening.
