Can we host our rehearsal dinner on a boat?
Absolutely—and it's one of our favorite ways to kick off a Maui wedding celebration.
Instead of gathering everyone inside a traditional restaurant, a private rehearsal dinner sail lets your closest friends and family spend the evening together on the water.
Depending on your charter, your evening can include dinner, drinks, music, sunset views, and plenty of time to relax and connect before the wedding day.
It also gives out-of-town guests a chance to experience Maui from an entirely different perspective.
What is a wedding welcome sail?

How many guests can attend a Trilogy wedding charter?

Guest capacity depends on the Trilogy vessel and the type of event you're planning.
Our catamarans can typically accommodate up to 49 guests for certain wedding events. For dinner sails, the maximum capacity is 36 guests.
Have a larger wedding group? Ask our team about multi-vessel options so more of your guests can experience the celebration on the water.
Do you provide food, bar service, and wedding cakes?
Yes. Food and beverage options are available for wedding charters, including fresh, island-inspired menus and bar service.
Depending on your wedding charter, menu customization may also be available. If you have dietary needs, preferences, or something specific in mind for your celebration, let your Trilogy wedding coordinator know during the planning process so we can discuss the available options.
Want something sweet to celebrate? For an additional cost, cake and cupcake options can be added to your wedding charter. Our team can connect you with our baker to discuss the available cake or cupcake options and find something that works for your celebration.
If you're interested in bringing in an outside baker or caterer instead, talk with your wedding coordinator during the planning process. We can discuss what's possible and make sure any outside food or services are compatible with your charter.
Can we customize the menu?
Depending on your wedding charter, menu customization may be available.
If you have dietary needs, preferences, or something specific in mind for your celebration, let your wedding coordinator know during the planning process so the team can discuss available options with you.
Can we have wedding décor aboard the boat?
Absolutely! We offer wedding décor packages for an additional cost that make it easy to personalize your celebration while keeping everything boat-friendly.
Our décor packages feature approved decorations that work well aboard our sailing catamarans, meaning they've been selected with the vessel and marine environment in mind. You won't have to worry about choosing décor that could easily blow away or isn't appropriate for use on the water.
If you have a different vision and would prefer to work with an outside florist, decorator, or other vendor, that's something we can discuss with you while booking. Outside décor may be possible as long as it is compatible with the vessel, safe for use aboard the boat, and appropriate for the marine environment.

Can we have music aboard our wedding charter?
Absolutely! Music is a great way to personalize your wedding sail and set the tone for your celebration.
One option is to create a curated playlist with the songs you’d like to hear during your charter. Your playlist can be played through the boat’s sound system by the captain, giving you an easy way to bring your favorite music along for the sail.
If you’d prefer live music, you can also hire a musician to join your charter. We’re happy to share recommendations from our preferred vendors, including musicians who are familiar with Trilogy weddings and performing aboard our vessels.

Can we bring a photographer aboard?

Trilogy operates private charters from Mā‘alaea Harbor, Lāhainā Harbor and beach-loading departures from Kā‘anapali Beach.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
