After a quick beach clean up on the west Maui Kaanapali beach,  volunteers gathered together to help load supplies and equipment. After a quick beach load onto Trilogy 1, the volunteers and sponsors set off south towards Olowalu reef. As we motored south the weather began to  improve. Halfway to Olowalu reef the weather flipped a 180 degrees from dark clouds and wind to perfect Maui weather. Everyone crawled back outside and lay in the sun for the remainder of the trip to Maui's mother reef, Olowalu. With the bad weather behind us, we arrived at Olowalu in perfect sunny weather. After mooring the boat, Volunteers jumped into the water with bags and scissors to search for trash and old fishing line. After Snorkeling and searching for trash while Olowalu, Volunteers and sponsors gathered back onto Trilogy 1. This Blue'aina trip was sponsored by the Hula grill! One of the best locations in Kaanapali, The Hula Grill is right on the water. The Hula Grill provided a delicious lunch of Chicken Sandwiches and wraps, signature hand made chips and a incredible Miso lime salad with a house vinaigrette. It was the perfect lunch and combination of food.
